Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board rescinded its 11 p.m. curfew for alcohol sales at establishments across the state.The curfew was put into place on July 27th in an attempt to flatten the coronavirus curve. At that time, Chairperson Alan Spencer said the board would relieve the restrictions as soon as possible.The ABC board also met to discuss the same action last Thursday, on September 24th, where the members agreed that it was time to end the curfew. But, they ultimately delayed the vote until they could meet with the Bar Association.A Huntsville bar owner says he’s relieved about the decision.“They’re going to be able to pay their bills, we have a really good place here, we do a lot of business. The people that work here make really good money, so it’s like a Christmas present I guess,” said Furniture Factory owner Matt Komara. “Hopefully, business stays good and my staff can make the money they used to make.”Bars will now only be required to follow state health orders — including those limiting capacity at bars, restaurants and clubs to no more than 50%.
