I have not found anyone who agrees with the coach’s decision to attend practice and a scrimmage while waiting for his test results."The assistant coach learned in a phone call from the Washington Ozaukee Health Department during the first half of a scrimmage of&nbsp;eighth-grade teams Saturday morning that he had tested positive, according to a statement released Monday night by the&nbsp;Wisconsin All-American Youth Football League.The Kewaskum Gridiron Club is part of the Wisconsin All-American Youth Football League.During a break shortly after the assistant coach learned he had tested positive, the head coaches of Kewaskum and Hartford learned a coach was infected. The assistant coach then admitted to them that "he was the one that tested positive," according to the statement.The Kewaskum head coach, who is also the president of&nbsp;the Kewaskum Gridiron Club, relieved the man of his coaching duties and told him to leave, which he did without incident."All of this transpired within a very short time frame, no more than 15 minutes. As a precautionary measure, the scrimmage was immediately canceled," the league said.Kewaskum Gridiron Club officials supplied video of the scrimmage to help the local health department track people who came in contact with the coach. By late Sunday evening, county health officials cleared everyone from any further measures of required quarantine, the league said.Health officials have said since the coronavirus pandemic started that anyone with COVID symptoms or is waiting for&nbsp;the results of a COVID test should&nbsp;stay home to&nbsp;prevent infecting others.In a press release posted on its website, the Kewaskum Gridiron Club said it "is committed to providing everyone a safe, responsible way to play football during this unprecedented pandemic."&nbsp;Anyone who may have been exposed to the&nbsp;coach at Saturday's Kewaskum-Hartford scrimmage at Kewaskum High School should be tested by calling their health care provider, visiting a regional community testing site, or calling the Washington Ozaukee Health Department, (262) 284-8170.
