So we had a significant jump in the number of positives per 100,000. According to our plan. When we moved to orange level, two different protocols take place. So let me walk through what that means to us, and it means this beginning immediately or beginning Monday, I should say so right now we're in a virtual setting, as everybody knows. With few exceptions, we brought 5 600 of our Children with disabilities back into the building. We have, ah program kind of a perk, if you will, for employees who have been able to bring their Children into buildings, and we put them in a remote setting in a classroom with a pair of professional. We had have been targeting and continued to target October 19th to bring pre K and kindergarten kids back. So here's what orange Level two means. Everything for right now goes remote. And so the teachers who are teaching in classrooms right now in a remote setting, the synchronous the asynchronous they will all begin teaching from home on Monday. Additionally, any student group that is using our building, whether it's our Children with disabilities, are Children at work program, which is that program where we're allowing employees Children to come in those air, all suspended immediately. And so those kids will be learning remotely from home or from somewhere else. Besides, in our school houses, we will restrict visitors by appointment only into our buildings, our 12 month employees. We will reduce the number of employees and given spaces everything that is spelled out in our initial return to campus plan or back to school plan slash back to work plan that we rolled out weeks and weeks ago. So this is just that next step where we allow the data and the information to inform us Based upon what that information is, we move to the next step in our planning. So this is this is gonna be much more digestible, I think is you go back and review the documents that spell out that if this then this but to summarize and I'd certainly answer some questions. We have moved to orange Level two per, the state Department of Education, color coded alert system. And that has prompted us to maintain in the virtual setting, send our small groups of kids home. Send our teachers home to instruct from there and then for 12 month employees, we will modify. And it may be a, for example, two days on, three days off with five days of coverage and all of our divisions so that if there is a need, we're open for business Monday through Friday. When transitioning from a less restrictive to a more restrictive alert level, officials said the district will immediately transition to the more restrictive alert level at the beginning of the following week. This means OKCPS will implement all Orange Level 2 protocols as of Monday, Sept. 28.OKCPS will transition to distance learning at least until community transmission returns to Orange Level 1 for at least two consecutive weeks, officials said. Teachers who have been teaching remotely from school facilities will begin teaching from home.
