Staten Jr., 63, of Monroe, was arrested Sunday on a warrant stemming from a June complaint.A woman at the Windsor Inn, 2401 Washington St., Monroe, told police on June 29 that Staten exposed his genitals and spoke to her daughter inappropriately. In a request for an arrest warrant, the witness said he pulled his pants down his thighs, exposing himself to the view of juveniles playing nearby, then defecated on the ground.The witness said when he liked a woman or girl's appearance, he'd call her "Shawty" and make graphic sexual requests.He reportedly told the woman's daughter, who was playing outside, that if she came to visit him, he'd have her pregnant within a week.Investigators determined that Staten had a history of exposing himself to adults on a regular basis but was ignored.When children were around, the obscenity reportedly increased in frequency and became more graphic in nature.He was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center on felony charges of obscenity and indecent behavior with juveniles. Bond was set at $3,000 total.View Comments
