In an with the Wall Street Journal about his , Netflix founder and co-CEO Reed Hastings compared his company's culture to a sports team: Bosses speak candidly, employees are expected to take big risks and prove their value, and under-performing employees are cut from the team. This model, he argues, was complicated by people during the COVID-19 pandemic.&nbsp;"Debating ideas is harder now," he says. "I don’t see any positives."Hastings is "super impressed at people’s sacrifices," but once a majority of employees are vaccinated against the virus, it’s back to the office. He does predict, though, that the five-day work week will shift to four days in the office and one day from home.&nbsp;Not everyone agrees with Hastings about remote work. A number of that working from home has helped cut childcare and transportation costs, two positives.&nbsp;Netflix has already made the move to return to production since pandemic-induced shutdowns. The company is in production in some parts of Europe and Asia, with a few things in the works in Los Angeles.&nbsp;“The hope is that, through September and October, we can really get—with proper testing—a lot more running,” Hastings tells the Journal. “We expect to have more original titles next year than this year.
