There was miscommunication amongst the Riley County Emergency Operations Center which resulted in this error.MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A Manhattan bar has reopened with approval from the Riley County Health Department after violating coronavirus rules, a spokeswoman said.Health officials ordered O’Malley’s Alley and O’ Malley’s to and serving drinks at the counter.Workers at the bar in Aggieville refused to speak to our reporter and waved for us to leave Monday afternoon.Riley County Emergency Operations Center spokeswoman Julie Gibs said Monday that the bar was allowed to reopen.“I have been in contact with the owners of O’Malley’s and O’Malley’s Alley,” said Julie Gibbs. “They&nbsp;submitted a plan to reopen based on the criteria in Local Health Order 18.&nbsp;The Command&nbsp;Staff of the Emergency Operations Center, the Riley County Board of Health, and I reviewed the plan and&nbsp;recommend that&nbsp;the business be allowed to reopen.”The bar was also cited in August for violating mask ordinances.Thanks for signing up!Watch for us in your inbox.Subscribe Now✕× Close Ad
