But because of the pandemic, the in-person architecture walks have been temporarily suspended and the group has started offering .Looped In podcast:The group has launched a seven-part series looking at the history and architecture of lower Westheimer, an area where it normally wouldn't be able to host tours because of traffic and noise."There's lots of interesting stuff around Westheimer that nobody knows about," said Jim Parsons, Preservation Houston's programs director who co-hosts the tours.For example, when the original Montrose neighborhood was laid out -- back then it was known as "Montrose Place" -- deed restrictions kept commercial development from being built along what's now considered lower Westheimer.
