Article discusses the context behind the excuses to cover for Biden. Progressive apologists are quoted as saying "he's better than Trump", however, I very much question the validity of these sentiments...

The biggest insult to the country is to say he needs to select a black woman --talk about racist . how about the best person and if it happens to be a black woman so be it. The journalist expresses it well the gaffes that Joe makes(often) are ignored the media wants us to believe Joe doesn't need a cognitive test but we all know better!!

A very well-written and balanced approach to a story that other, lesser reporters, might have sensationalized. The author provides some of Biden's recent statements towards the Black community and poses the simple, yet uncomfortable question for Democrats, why is Biden not called out as being racist for comments that the media and Democrats would certainly call Trump a racist for if Trump made the same comments? I agree with Joan's take on the topic and I appreciate that she's posing a question that many in the media would rather ignore.
