Great Context
August 3, 2020
This article goes more in depth than most into the history of the name changing movement. It introduces major players, like Suzan Harjo, that many may not have heard of. It gives great context into the long long fight.

Great Context
July 31, 2020
This article is packed full of great context as it relates to how the Washington Redskins name change came to be. There's a lot of solid research put into this piece, which I think was reported on in a very balanced and nuanced way.

Racial Bias
July 31, 2020
This piece covers only the perspective of the people seeking a name change, it does not in any way attempt to offer perspectives from the fans who support the team, or the team's owner who is being forcibly pressured to change a recognized household name brand with 87 years of history. Considering the right to free speech is still in effect, the protections afforded by it seem to erode with each passing day. Some may celebrate this as a "social pressure" victory; I am sorrowful for yet another denigration of the constitution, and the rights afforded therein.
