The article extends wide and details the situation of housing for immigrant children. The amount of inormations and quotes that we find inside the article demonstrates its credibility. A very long and detailed read, but in the end it's worth it.

This article might not be as fun to read because it doesn't sensationalize the topic as many other article's I've read on this issue have. The article treads carefully to only present the facts so as not to speculate on what is already an overly politicized topic.

The shear amount of information, context, quotes, and data provided in this article is a great reminder of what you can get with investigative journalism. Authors Michael and Topher not only mention countless reports of sexual abuse towards children and immigrant youth in shelters, but also discuss complications that make it harder for these shelters to monitor and respond to these types of incidents. Factors like large surge in numbers of immigrants entering the shelters, meaning expedited hiring and training of personnel, increase in length of stay, changing policies from government, etc.
