This is a well-written critique of the Newseum by Daniel Funke who has a clear position on the matter. Daniel believes that the Newseum should not be selling merchandise that undercuts journalists or the profession of journalism that the Newseum seeks to promote. I was surprised to hear this news because the merchandise seemed counter to the Newseum's mission. With that said, they have the right to sell whatever merchandise they want, and being critical of the media, as everyone on Tribeworthy understands, can also be a way of improving the media. Although it feels counter to their purpose as an organization, I believe the Newseum can sell whatever they want. I would, however, draw a line at using the term "Enemy of the people" because I feel it resembles a call to violence and makes the work environment of journalists in the field more dangerous.
