Hayden Christensen is rumored to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming&nbsp; Disney+ show. Making his&nbsp;Star Wars debut in 2002's&nbsp;Attack of the Clones, Christensen played Anakin in the final two prequel trilogy installments. At the time the films were released, Christensen's performances were criticized as coming across wooden. Some have looked at the Obi-Wan TV show as a good place for Christensen, and that could be happening.According to&nbsp;, Christensen is going to be a&nbsp;"regular" on the Obi-Wan show, implying he'll have a substantial role. The idea was to announce this at , so assuming this is true, it remains to be seen when Lucasfilm will officially confirm this.It's worth keeping in mind this is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt, but Christensen appearing in&nbsp;Obi-Wan makes sense. Anakin and Obi-Wan were good friends and went through a lot together in the prequels and&nbsp;The Clone Wars. With the Disney+ show set to , it wouldn't be surprising if he was still haunted by his failure and had flashbacks about his experiences with Anakin. What's interesting is that Christensen is said to have a principal role on the show, so if he does return, he'll factor heavily into the main storyline.&nbsp;Obi-Wan is going through rewrites, so it's difficult to predict what the narrative will entail. Originally, it was said to have a plot similar to&nbsp;The Mandalorian, but that's presumably changed.It'd be nice to see Christensen return, as it would give him a chance to bow out of&nbsp;Star Wars on a higher note than before. He's demonstrated solid acting chops in , and it would be interesting to watch him play Anakin for a different director. There's also an opportunity here to flesh out Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship.&nbsp;The Clone Wars did a lot of legwork depicting their dynamic, but the prequels arguably only scratched the surface. Many viewers would enjoy Christensen and Ewan McGregor reunited, displaying the strong, natural chemistry of longtime friends.
