Science writing is not only a craft but an art as well. The author of this fascinating piece about an equally fascinating subject shows what an excellent writer as communicator can do. Firstly, the sourcing is outstanding with the quotes and commentary coming from not only those connected with the referenced endeavor but also those outside of it. Scientists commenting on the work of other scientists always makes for interesting reading. The links provided are not only helpful and provide relevant context they also make for interesting reading. A decidedly worthwhile read and one of the best examples of science journalism I have ever read. Five stars!
