Very interesting read about a really important topic that should be talked about more often. The author, Matthew Braga, does an amazing job of explaining in the simplest terms how the system works, making this article very accessible. For someone who wants to go deeper in the topic, the references are very accurate, and the links to the actual research papers are very useful. The article also does an amazing job of not being political in it's explanation.

Given that I'm not technologically savvy, this article produces the information in an easy to read way to help you understand it's capabilities. And, in an age when censorship is becoming a new standard to combat fake news, white nationalists, and websites or information your government doesn't want you to see (China), this proposes an interesting solution. However, I wish the author spent more time diving into the possible issues with technology like this. How might hackers or someone use this for malicious purposes? Perhaps there aren't any but it would be good to know.

This article does a fine job presenting the context around the existing Internet censorship, and the technology behind the TapDance experiment, It's an incredibly important story to follow so as to ensure that humanity always has access to our species collective knowledge, no matter who the ruler or what times are like. I would have liked to read what other countries, besides China, have a censored Internet, and what these countries might try to do in response to this program working at scale.
