The “Vegas-style” spectacles rise as high as 60 feet 7 times a day. Having recently opened the new 66,000-square-foot Bolder Adventure Park, Grand Prairie’s EpicCentral has this month added another monumental attraction. Following in the footsteps of Klyde Warren Park which late last year unveiled its majestic new Nancy Best Fountain and an exhilarating light and water show, 172-acre park in Grand Prairie has opened its own spectacular new water and light show named “Lluvia”. With up to 60-foot water sprays combined with colorful lights, an exciting soundtrack, and state-of-the-art video projection, the “Vegas-style” water, and light show is reportedly the first-of-its-kind installation in North America. View this post on Instagram Lluvia, which translates to “rain” in Spanish, features “shimmering images appearing like magic across sheets of illuminated rain” according to the EpicCentral website. “Come feel the cool mist touch your face as phantasmagorical fountains leap 60 feet in the air” and “bop your head to the synchronized beat underscoring the whole playful, fluid affair.” Shows will take place 7 times a day with daytime water shows running between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm before returning at 5 pm through to when more extravagant spectacles begin as the night nears. “Twilight shows” will feature water, lights, and music at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm before the “full experiences” will then feature water, lights, music, and video projection at 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm. According to EpicCentral, all shows will be different from the last, and new themed shows will be introduced seasonally. View this post on Instagram After voters approved $75 million in bonds back in 2021, EpicCentral has been expanding and improving its 172-acre complex with attractions, installations, hotels, and high-end restaurants. Lluvia is its latest enticing experience which the park describes as “so mesmerizing you’ll want to pinch yourself”. “We are excited to welcome Illuvia, an exceptional family-friendly experience to our community and visitors alike,” Grand Prairie Mayor Ron Jensen said in a news release.
