It seems to me that the author is being a bit deceptive. They forge a narrative in the first few paragraphs. "A theater in New Jersey just canceled an upcoming conference featuring right-wing provocateurs after facing backlash from local activist groups." And then backpedal on it later "Not all speakers are so clearly right of center.". They devote several paragraphs discussing the right wing presence but a single paragraph to the progressive presence. They dont make it immediately clear why the event was canceled and frame it as if the mayor had something to do with it be he was ultimately irrelevant in that decision making process as the event organizers have said that it was due to a threat by ANTIFA to burn the venue down. Just because the one antifa activist they talked to said he didnt make the threat doesnt mean ANTIFA did not and considering other news outlets were reporting it was ANTIFA and they organized protests against the events it's not a stretch to say it came from them. The author does present facts and the article is solid but its definitely written with a bias in favor of ANTIFA

I had to think for a moment if this article was more of a hit piece or political agenda, because it was certainly both. This article jumps from smear to smear, never providing even the slightest bit of evidence for the name calling directed at the would-have-been speakers at this event.
