A lightly investigative and interesting look at a heretofore unknown aspect of online marketing regarding the referenced company. The Author does yeoman's service in illuminating the discussed practice. While the piece's clickbaity title may seem to belie authorial bias, in the main, things remain generally even-handed. There are sprinkles of one-sided opinion here and there but this ultimately does not detract from the informative nature of the article. A worthwhile read.

Relevant topic, reporter talked to wide range of people (including Yelp and GrubHub spokespeople, who were not very forthcoming with information).

This is a great little investigative look into Yelp and GrubHub's practices. Both companies will be forever fighting with restaurants for who controls access to the end customer, so none of this is surprising to me. In most cases, I'd say restaurants (like mine) should be thankful that these online services exist, but the companies need to make clear that they are recording conversations and using this phone call work around.

Great Context

The article provides a lot of context on the issue restaurants have with grub hub, and discusses some coverage of the erroneous charges. Most of the rest of the article was anecdotal and unsourced.

An investigative article that started from the author's own experience calling a restaurant and noticing the different number. There were a few claims that weren't backed up by linked sources for deeper dives and credibility verification, but the overall information is very contextual and balanced.
